VIRTUAL PRESENCE TECHNOLOGY. vHOP is a two-way, 4k-interactive, 3D communications solution that connects VA health providers to Veterans anywhere and anytime. vHOP is the next step beyond immersive telepresence. This solution allows immersive social interactions with friends, families, and intermediaries as life-size digital replicas are beamed to a location to reduce chronic isolation.
Dept. of Veteran Affairs considers vHOP as a top 40 innovation, among nearly 1,400 solutions.
These in-person-like interactions will greatly strengthen existing networks of support, communication, and care across the communities in which Veterans live and work every day. These interactions will augment the lived experience of Veterans helping them to navigate the challenges they are faced with such as the lack of social connections.
vHOP counseling and engaging Veterans anytime and anywhere meets multiple national strategy objectives for preventing veteran suicide, fostering cross-agency integration, collaboration, public-private partnerships, increased access, and communication campaigns.
RAS Unlimited’s innovation team is working with industry partners to complete the vHOP design for an end-to-end mental health solution that uses holographic communication, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to engage, assess, and help identify psychological and physical behaviors for licensed medical providers.

VR Supporting Mental Health
RAS specializes in creating and implementing IT solutions including VR systems (VRPlus1) that enhance communication, support, and care within Veteran communities. We are proud to announce that we have recently been recognized with a national award for our innovative work in VR and Hologram-like communications. Our VR therapy room features HTC headsets that utilize high-resolution digital LEDs to facilitate telehealth interactions. Additionally, we operate a mobile large VR bus that allows senior citizens and disabled persons to enjoy gaming and multi-player virtual reality games and activities.
Li-Fi is an emerging communication technology, uniquely more secure, with vastly more gigabits of data embedded.
Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) is a wireless networking technology that provides data transmission through light. Li-Fi provides an increase in bandwidth (BW), elimination of EMI, and increased security. Li-Fi LED lights can be used to replace incandescent and florescent bulbs, reduce reliance on RF spectrums, and also simplify network topology.
RAS is one of few companies that has provided a working Li-Fi prototype for the U.S. Government with a road map for integration. Our solution called “Secure Li-Fi” enables secure user collaboration and high-speed connectivity. Secure Li-Fi is perfect for systems in restricted and or classified areas due to the natural features of light not passing through walls/surfaces.
